Botswana wants air connection with Luanda

Luanda – Botswana government on Friday expressed the interest of setting up direct air connection between Luanda and Gaberone, says a press note from the Angolan embassy there.

The minister of Transports and Communication, Frank Ramsden, expressed this interest during a meeting with the Angolan ambassador to Botswana, José Agostinh Neto.

At the gathering, requested by Botswana officials, the Angolan diplomat was informed on the urgency and importance of the opening of this air linking between the two capital cities.

Meanwhile, the ambassador José Agostinho Neto reminded the fact that there is already a co-operation accord between the two countries, since February 2006, that foresees this kind of co-operation, as well as a bill on this matter already submitted by the authorities of Botswana and under study.
