Peasants in Sumbe, Porto Amboin benefit from maize seeds

Sumbe – At least 55 tons of maize seeds have been distributed to peasants in Sumbe and Porto Amboim districts, in coastal Kwanza-Sul province, said a source of the sector.

The provincial director of the Institute of Agrarian Development (IDA), Manuel Mateus Alexandre, added that peasants also received agricultural tools for the 2010 farming campaign.

It is expected a good harvest taking into account the rains, said the source.
