Huambo – The Central Huambo province may produce alternative power from eucalyptus, on Tuesday here announced the local governor, Faustino Muteka.
Angolan and Brazilian experts are assessing the forest potential of Huambo, in order to prepare a power production project from eucalyptus exploration, said Faustino Muteka, in a meeting with members of the provincial government and others of Tchindjendje administrator.
From the potential of Cuima eucalyptus perimeter it may be possible to produce about 60 megawatts of power.
The project will enable the production of 60 megawatts of power, being that 20 will be designed for the neighbouring Bié province.
