Elephants, wild boars destroy plantations in Kuando-Kubango

Menongue - At least 18 elephants and wild boars destroyed, over the past seven days, various plantations in Calai and Cuangar districts, in the southern Kuando-Kubango Province, Angop has learnt.

The animals destroyed plantations of maize and other cereals, said Kapango Mutango, who spoke on behalf of the peasants.

The source said peasants in Mukepe and Kandendele are worrying with this situation therefore they foresee a bad harvest in 2010 agricultural season.
