Agriculture minister meets with shipowners and fish traders

Luanda – The minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Afonso Canga, met on Thursday here with industrial ship owners and traders of the provinces of Luanda and Kwanza Sul, to share information and seek for solutions to the problems faced
by this class in the activity of capturing, conserving and distributing fish, as well as salt production.


 
According to the official, the meeting served to transmit the guidelines of the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, about the need for increasing the supply of goods and service to the population, mainly fish and salt, as well as contribute to the diversification of the state’s revenue.


 
The minister recognised the good work of the class, the difficulties faced by them, having highlighted the government’s commitment to increasing the availability of fishing activity equipment, such as boats and conservation means.
