Luanda – Farmers of the country’s capital, Luanda, were on Saturday advised to new technologies in the productive process, in order to improve the revenues of their co-operatives.
According to the chairperson of the National Union of Angolan Farmers’ Associations (UNACA), in Luanda, Ferreira Simão, who was speaking at a ceremony to mark the 20th founding anniversary of the organisation, farmers are facing a big challenge in this period of developing the country, having urged its members to contribute.
To the source, there is a need for each farmer to monitor the development of new Technologies, inserting modern means in order for the lands to improve their incomes and turn a businessman into a farmer.
The ceremony, which happened at the Quinguela-Norte village, district of Samba, was marked by the handing over of incentives to members of the Twendy ku Pólo Co-operative, a cultural event, as well as the distribution of membership cards.
