Lobito, - Lobito Port, in the central Benguela Province, will handle over 12,000 tons of load per year, on Wednesday here said its director, José Carlos Gomes, ANGOP has learnt.
This will be possible due to the acquisition of new equipment, more space and better management of human resources, revealed the source, during a visit to the port of the head of the regional executive of Kwazulu Natal region (South Africa), Zweli Mkheze.
Currently are in progress various actions such as enlargement of the quays, construction of a loading platform and the zone for mineral load.
These new investments will enable that 20 long course ships moor and be loaded up simultaneously.
