The memorandum was signed between the national oil company (Sonangol) and Indian firms of this sector, during the visit of the Indian minister of oil and natural gas, Murli Deora.
According to the Angolan oil minister, Botelho de Vasconcelos, the document stipulates modalities for the strengthening of entrepreneurial cooperation, as both countries have already a general accord of cooperation.
Botelho de Vasconcelos also stated that the two countries want to strengthen the existing cooperation in the domain of technical capacity of Angolan staff, under the general accords between the two countries.
Under the bilateral cooperation, Angola has supplied about 43 million barrels of oil to India, which corresponds about 6.5 percent of the Angolan export.
In addition to strengthening the cooperation, the visit of the Indian delegation also serves to consolidate the relations between the strategic oil firms of the two countries.
