Fisheries deputy minister hands over 34 fishing boats in Massangano

Dondo – The fisheries deputy minister, Vitória de Barros Neto, handed over last Friday 34 boats to fishermen in Massangano commune, in the northern Kwanza Norte Province, in the ambit of the governmental programme to fight against hunger, reduction of poverty and boost capture of fish.


 
The boats were handed over to two cooperatives comprised by 290 fishermen who are distributed by various fishing associations.


 
The handover of the boats is part of the first phase of the programme that started in 2003.
