Germany vows to boost co-operation in mining and energy sectors

Luanda – Germany intends to increase co-operation with Angola in the economic sector, essentially in the areas of mining exploration and energy, said Wednesday here the counsellor of the German Embassy in Angola, Berndt Oesterlen.

 

Speaking to ANGOP, Berndt Oesterlen indicated that for the  abovementioned purpose, Germany has set up an economic delegation in Luanda.

 

The government official commented yet on the visit held last July by the German deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, who on the occasion gathered with the Angolan ministers Oil and Energy.

 

Berndt Oesterlen also stated that the two governments are working to accomplish several projects, although a new government is currently under formation in Germany, led by chancellor Angela Merkel.

 

According to the diplomat, Germany obtains from Angola products such as oil and diamonds and carries out services in the sector of industry, fundamentally in areas of brewery and refreshments.
