Angola, Zimbabwe strengthen cooperation in diamond sector

Luanda – The Republic of Angola and Zimbabwe five days will exchange experiences in the mining sector, particularly in the domain of diamonds, aiming at boosting bilateral cooperation in this field, ANGOP learned Wednesday from an official source.

For this purpose, a multi-sector delegation from Zimbabwe, integrated by its Defence minister, Emmerson D. Mnagagwa, and the deputy minister of Geology and mining M. Zuizauai, as well as by representatives of public and private companies, is visiting Angola since last Wednesday.

Speaking to Angop at “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport, the Zimbabwean government official revealed that his visit to Angola aims at examining with the Angolan authorities issues related to the mining sector, as well as assessing the projects which are being developed, in order to share experiences.

The visit of the Zimbabwean delegation, which will end on October 11, will focus essentially on sharing of information.
