Lisbon – Angolans and Portuguese citizens want to jointly organise a congress on gastronomy, meant to exchange experiences and reinforce co-operation in the sectors of hotels and tourism, ANGOP has learnt.
This intention was expressed on Wednesday at Beira Litoral locality, in Portugal, by members of an Angolan delegation and Portuguese businesspeople in the wine sector.
The Angolan agronomy engineer, Joaquim Laureano, said that it is important to include on the agenda matters related to environment, history and significance of wine in Angolan traditional and contemporary ceremonies, as well as in co-operation relations between both countries.
On his turn, the director of the museum of wine of Bairrada locality, Pedro Dias, said that in matters of venue, hotels, gastronomy and culture I think we can hold this event here (Portugal) or in Angola, which will be fruitful towards the reinforcement of cultural relations and historic ties.
Comprising 12 people, among them nine journalists, the team is in that European country since Thursday at the invitation of the association of promotion of Portuguese wines to attend a training on wine tasting.
