Luanda - Angola is the main trade partner of China in Africa and the second in the world, in an economic interchange that reached around USD 25.3 billion during 2008, reported Friday the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of China to Angola, Zhang Bolun.
According to the Chinese diplomat, despite the international financial crisis the trading exchange between the two countries recorded a significant increase over the past years.
In all products traded between the two countries, the Angolan oil yielded more income, representing about 16 percent of the total of the imports from China, emphasised Zhang Bolun.
With regard to private investment, the diplomat said to expect an increasing in the number of Chinese contractors next year in domains of agriculture, food industry, timber and information technology.
Apart from public works, Angola and China can also cooperate in other strategic domains, stated the ambassador Zhang Bolun, without specifying the fields for cooperation.
