Soyo- The Angolan government is to invest by 2012 in Soyo district, northern Zaire Province, 2.0 billion US dollars to re-launching the local industry, having as basis liquefied natural gas and other petrochemicals, ANGOP has learnt.
This information has been given to ANGOP by the deputy Industry minister, Kiala Gabriel.
The official, who ended on Saturday a two-day visit to Soyo, accompanied by the local governor, Pedro Sebastiao, said that it has been identified the locality of Soyo 3 perimeter, with an extension of 2,000 hectares of land, for the building of the industrial estate that will comprise eight projects.
Located in the delimited space of Kimbumba/Mvuemba and Nfinda-e-Cuncu triangle, the future industrial estate will have a gas production industry, under the Angola LNG project and another petrochemicals, as main creator of opportunities for factory infrastructures in Soyo.
The project will comprise factories for pesticides production, methanol, ammonia, steel industry, methane, tyres remoulding, among others.
