Zaire Province to get sixteen more factories

Mbanza Kongo – At least sixteen factories will be built in the coming four years, in the northern Zaire Province, under the government programme to re-launch the manufacturing industry, on Thursday announced the local industry, geology and mining department director, Adão Alberto Sofia.

 

Speaking to ANGOP, the official,  who did not reveal the amount of money that will be spent on the implementation of the project, underlined that in the first stage it will comprise the districts of Mbanza Kongo, Soyo,Nzeto and Tomboco. 

 

A team comprising higher technicians has been created to identify plots were the factories are to be built.

 

"These projects have already been approved by the government and have funds for their implementation, what we are doing currently is to create conditions for the construction of these factories in the province", he said.

 

Among them are plants of ceramics (two), sugar, pesticides, as well as a printing factory, a carpenters workshop, a retreading service infrastructure, among others.
