Angolan oil minister expected in Brazzaville

Brazzaville – The Angolan oil minister, José Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos, is expected next Wednesday in Brazzaville City, Republic of Congo, for a few-hour mission.

In the framework of his short visit, the Angolan oil minister will meet with the Congolese Hydrocarbons minister, André Raphaël Loemba, and with the officials of the US oil company Chevron Overseas (Congo) limited.

José Botelho de Vasconcelos, who is visiting Congo for the second time since he was appointed to the post, was in Brazzaville in December 2008.

Angola and Congo have been cooperating in the framework of the perspective for common exploration of transborder oil resources, by creating an inter-state organ focussed on finding ways to materialise the project.
