Commerce minister inaugurates liaison office in Lisbon

Lisbon - The Angolan minister of Commerce, Idalina Valente, over the weekend in open in Lisbon the new liaison office to Portugal, Angop learned.


Speaking at the ceremony, the minister said the Office will impart more dignity to the functioning of the institution, in view of the challenges of the country.


“I think that it is a symbol of the reconstruction of our country and the elevation of the name of Angola to higher and higher standards, and reinforcement of the commercial and business relations between Angola and Portugal”, said Idalina Valente.


Situated in one of the main Lisbon avenues, the office represents a synonym of the good image of the Angolan State, said the ambassador to Portugal, Marcos Barrica, who added that the functioning of the institution will boost trade and business between the two countries.


The ceremony was witnessed by the deputy consul, André Salazar, diplomats,  members of the Angolan diplomatic mission and commercial agents with interests in the Angolan market.
