Luanda - The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will disburse usd 50 million from 2010 to 2012 to support projects in Angola, the organization chairperson, Kanayo Nwanze announced in Rome.
Kanayo Nwanze made the statement to the media at the end of a meeting with Angola’s Prime minister, António Paulo Kassoma, representing the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, at the World Summit on Food Security.
“My meeting with the prime minister was productive”, he said rejoicing with the information that investment in agriculture is a priority in Angola.
He highlighted the existence of a long working history with the country’s authorities, a common partnership to be kept for the benefit of rural population.
“We want to continue working with the government, investing more in rural development aimed at increasing agriculture production" Kanayo Nwanze stated.
