Speaking at the end of a meeting with the head of the National Agency for Private Investments (ANIP), Aguinaldo Jaime, the spanish government top trade official praised the angolan government for the success of its strong economy and asserted that Angola's economy will soon recover from the world financial crisis, following the stabilization of the oil prices in the international market.
She announced a 500 million euros financing to encourage mutual exports and admitted the possibility for the openning of an air link between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the ANIP chief considered that an air link Luanda/Madrid would facilitate trade exchanges between the two countries, pledging an improvement ofthe biliteral relations.
Mr Jaime explained that the delays of external payments in foreign currency to spanish companies were due to the financial crisis and to the abuse by some companies in the transfer process, a situation which is now regulated by the Central Bank.
Bilateral trade topped 2,3 billion euros with Angola exporting four per cent of the total spanish oil needs and importing machinery and cars, while companies from the european country are operating in Angola in agriculture, civil construction, energy, engineering, fisheries and health sectors.
