Luanda – The Spanish secretary of State for Commerce, Sílvia Iranzo Gutierrez, announced Wednesday here the opening of a credit line for Angola, estimated at 500 million euros, aiming at boosting the exportations between the two countries.
The Spanish government official revealed this fact to the press, after holding a meeting with the Angolan ministers of Finances, Severim de Morais, of the Economy, Manuel Júnior, and with the chairman of the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP), Aguinaldo Jaime.
The credit line, explains Sílvia Iranzo, will be managed through the Spanish company of exportation funding “Cesce”
According to Sílvia Iranzo Gutierrez, the new credit line will allow to strengthen the excellent relations that already exist between the two states and reinforce the relations of economic cooperation, as well as contribute to the financing of projects of mutual interest.
The degree of bilateral trade between the two countries reached in 2008 an amount of EUR 2.3 billion.
Angola exports to Spain about 4 percent of the oil consumed in that European country, whilst the latter exports machines, motor vehicles and other goods to the African country.
