Luanda – Cold storage systems will be installed soon in eight provinces of the country, to improve trade and preservation of meat and dairy products.
This was announced Tuesday in Luanda by a source from the Ministry of Agriculture.
With a capacity for 1,125 tons each, six cold storage systems will be installed in the provinces of Bengo, Benguela, Cabinda, Huila and Kwanza-Norte, said the head of department of production, technology and animal industry of the veterinary services of Ministry of Agriculture, Manuel Maidi Abolia.
The other cold storage system will have a capacity fro 975 tons and will be installed in Cunene and Namibe provinces.
The systems will be for animal and vegetal products, explained Manuel Maidi.
Approved recently by the Government, the project for the installation of the mentioned systems is part of the effort to revive rural trade in the country, including the creation and organisation of loan schemes.
