Sharm el Sheikh – The 7th session of the Foreign Ministries of Africa and China gathering Friday in (Egypt) on Friday, approved the Sharm el Sheikh Declaration that will govern the cooperation among involved countries in the coming three years.
The Sharm el Sheikh Declaration that will be submitted for approval to the 4th ministerial session of the Sino/Africa Forum, taking place from November 8-9, follows a great reflection sessions on the event.
According to Angolan ambassador to China, João Manuel Bernardo, who was assessing the results of the first plenary session of the event, the Declaration is an important political instrument that contains the guidelines for the cooperation in the coming three years between China and Africa, including Angola.
The diplomat added that the Sharm el Sheikh Declaration comprises what the countries will take as a basis for analysis and work reflected on the 2010-2012 Action Plan.
He said that Angola has placed a focus on what it finds convenient, taking into account the fundamental components of the Action Plan covering food security, agriculture and infrastructures.
The meeting being attended by 49 African countries is analysing the results of the last three years of cooperation and outlining actions for the coming three years.
Founded nine years ago, the Sino/Africa Forum is a platform for south-south dialogue that permits the discussion of the common concerns with a view to development in an era of economic and financial crisis affecting the world.
