Lisbon – Angola’s under 20 football team on Sunday thrashed their counterparts of Mozambique by 5-0 at José Gomes stadium, in Amadora region, for the second round of the 2nd Lusophone Games taking place in Portugal.
By halftime, the Angolans were already ahead by 2-0.
Pati (twice), Venâncio, Mano and Mucua, scored the goals for the team coached by Zeca Amaral.
With this result, Angola is in the lead with three points, similar to those of Cape Verde and Mozambique, in the following positions.
Meanwhile, the Angolan ladies basketball team was beaten by Portugal by 53-60, whilst Brazil thrashed Cape Verde by 74-21.
The 2nd Lusophone Games, which kick started on Saturday at Atlântico pavilion, in Lisbon, by the President of Portugal, Cavaco Silva, are being played in the cities of Lisbon, Amadora, Oueira, Sintra and Almada.
