Luanda - The president of the Angolan Kabuscorp football club, Bento dos Santos Kangamba, Thursday in Luanda thanked the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos for assistance to the funeral of the ill-fated soccer fans killed in a road accident over the weekend Speaking to Angop, the sport official considered the president’s support as fundamental.

According to Bento Kangamba, the move, showed by the head of State, encourages Kabuscorp Managing Board, members, families and friends.

He also thanked for the solidarity demonstrated by the government of Luanda province (GPL), the State and private-owned institutions, clubs, as well as the society in general.

The accident, that claimed 23 lives and 29 injured, happened on Saturday in northern Kwanza Norte province after the fans had watched their team play in the country's top division at Libolo, central Kwanza Sul province.

The funeral ceremony was witnessed by various officials, including Luanda province governor.
