London –The Angolan national senior female handball team started this Saturday their participation in the London Olympic Games with a 27-30 defeat to Russia, despite playing a brilliant game. 

This match counts for the preliminary round of group A.

Angola did put up a good fight, specially in the second half, but the Russian ladies confirmed their strong status.

The Angolan ladies’ next game is with Croatia, on Monday.
