Player Mantorras happy as he bids farewell to pitch

Lisbon - The Angolan football player Mantorras said to live with greater expectation and emotion on the eve of official farewell of the pitch, scheduled for Wednesday.

The event will be marked by a match of solidarity, dubbed "an act against hunger," and will take place at "Luz" Stadium, in Portugal

Speaking to Benfica TV sports channel, the former Benfica player lauded the gesture of the club and also thanked the supporters and partners who will attend his farewell event.

Mantorras said he hoped the match opposing Benfica of Portugal and a team of friends of the former Portuguese international Luis Figo, will help the children in some African countries.

Mantorras is currently the Ambassador of that team to the Portuguese Speaking African Countries (PALOP).
