Luanda – The former chairman of the Angolan Olympic Committee, Rogério Silva, said the country can dream of getting a gold medal in judo at the Olympic Games of London, in view of the present athletic condition of judoka Antónia de Fátima "Faia".
The official was speaking to Angop about the chances of Fátima Faia to get a gold, after she got a bronze at the world judo tournament.
"Today it is possible to think of this, since our judoka won a medal at a world championship. At the Olympic games she might also make it,” said Rogério Silva, adding that many things happen in a judo fight.
He recalled that two Olympic games back, Faia eliminated a medal candidate in less than one minute.
The official stressed that Faia has international competition experience and her gold in the world championship justifies a dream of a gold medal at the London Olympic Games going from July 27 to August 12.
