Former basketball official envisages substantial improvement in sports

Luanda – The former chairman of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Pires Ferreira, envisages that with the holding last Friday of the debate on “Strategy of development, financing and training in sports in Angola” the sector will record a substantial improvement.

Speaking to ANGOP, Pires Ferreira congratulated the organisers of the event (Sports Ministry) for the work that was presented.

“I think that after this meeting, with the quality of the work that was done and the contributions that were given, conditions are now created for us to take a quality leap forward (…)”, he said.

He is of the opinion that this experience will be put into practice and the results will be obtained gradually, just like the reconstruction process of a country is done by steps, with long term programmes.
