Luanda
Football federation chairman defends decision-making in sports

Luanda – The chairman of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Pedro Neto, last Friday in Luanda said that it is necessary to have the courage to take decisions in regard to the theoretical aspects on development of sports, successively discussed over the years.

Speaking to the press, during the seminar on Policies and Strategies for Developing Sports in Angola, Pedro Neto said it is not the first time this topic is debated, but in the time of decisions what was adopted is ignored.

"I should say time has come for all matters- such as financing in sports, training, development starting from the early stages, school and corporative sports- to have the answers. My request is that we get the courage to take decisions", he stressed.

The federation official deemed important the contribution of foreign lecturers (Portugal and Spain), who presented the models, especially because they were careful enough to explain that each applies a model in accordance with its reality.

He said it is good to learn the experience of developed states, so that Angolans can choose a viable model, in order to make sports development in Angola a reality.
