Luanda – The Angolan José Luís Borges was on Wednesday sacked as the coach of Santos FC, who are placed at 12th position of the national first division football championship (Girabola2012) with 14 points.
Angop learnt that José Luís Borges was ousted from the position, following the loss 2-3 of Santos FC to Sporting de Cabinda in the 13th round of the referred competition.
According to a source from the club, the squad will be care taken by the then assistant coach, who is being presented this Thursday at 5 p.m in a press conference in Luanda.
This is the 12th sacking of a coach in Girabola2012 after the firing out of Alain Claude and Miguel Banganga (Sporting de Cabinda), António Caldas (Interclube), Álvaro Magalhães (Nacional de Benguela), Jorge Humberto Chaves (Benfica de Luanda), Miroslav Maksimovic (Petro de Luanda) and now José Luís Borges (Santos FC).
