Luanda - The Angolan women's national basketball team, African champions, on Friday lost to their counterparts of Australia by 46-66, in a first round encounter of the China tournament.

 
Angola is readying for the London Olympic Games, to be held from July 27 to August 12.

 
Coach Aníbal Moreira has the following players at his disposal: Catarina Camufal, Luzia Adão, Astrida Vicente, Sónia Guadalupe, Luísa Macuto, Nadir Manuel, Ngiendula Filipe, Fineza Eusébio, Felizarda Jorge, Nacissela Maurício, Ângela Cardoso, Madalena Felix, Ana Gonçalves and Flora Muzangueno.

The tournament in China will end next June 15 and, afterwards Angola will compete in another tournament in the same Asian country, from July 02 to 04.
