Luanda – The assistant coach of 1º de Agosto, Walter Costa, said on Monday in Luanda that the 85-84 victory of his team over Petro de Luanda is an important step to win the national senior males basketball championship (BAIBasket2012).

Speaking to the press at the end of the match, Walter Costa said that the matches with the main opponents in the competition will be fundamental for the conquest of the trophy.

He highlighted that his players were capable to overcome their difficulties in order to beat their opponent and keep the lead.

The match, played at Luanda’s Rio Seco pavilion, was part of the third round of BAIBasket2012.

With this result, 1º de Agosto lead the competition with seven points, while Petro de Luanda occupy the third position with five points.
