Malanje hosts motocross open season event

Luanda - A motocross event will take place Saturday in northern Malanje province, to open the 2012 season in this specialty, Angop has learned in Luanda.


 
Dubbed Grand Prix Malanje city, the competition is part of the commemorations of the
80th anniversary of Malanje city, on February 13.

 

The event will also gather the association of motocross of Luanda, one of the largest
organisations that encourage the practice and expansion of the sport in the country.


 
According to its secretary general, Eduardo Lusito, a caravan of riders left Thursday
morning for Malanje, where in competition with other provinces will compete in the race in
two heats in the categories of 250cc, 150cc and motorbike 4.


 
The motocross open 2012 season event was initially scheduled to take place on  25 January,  but it was postponed for Saturday (11th) due to the lack of financial support.
