Luanda – The national senior males and females basketball teams will get training programmes outside the country, ahead of their participation in the pre-Olympic  tournament and the Olympic Games, which will happen in Venezuela, on 02-08 July, and England, from 27 July to 12 August, respectively.

According to the chairman of the Angolan Football Federation (FAB), Gustavo da Conceição, who spoke to ANGOP on Thursday, the institution is committed to seeing the national teams have good preparations for a dignifying participation in the mentioned international competitions.

The pre-Olympic tournament, which will be disputed by twelve teams, qualifies the top three teams for the Olympic Games

He also informed that the FAB intends to continue working with the same coaches that have been managing the team for sometime now, namely Jaime Covilhã and Artur Barros (males), as well as Aníbal Moreira and Elisa Pires (females).

The Angolan female handball team has direct access to the London Olympic Games, for winning the African Nations Cup.
