Luanda – The Angolan under18 males basketball team were summoned for their participation in zone 6 tournament between March and April, qualifying for Africa Cup of Nations in 2012.

At least 19 basktball players were summoned, namely André João, Paka Nkanga, Edivaldo José, Joshua Muila, Teotónio Dó, Yanick Quimuanga, Joaquim Pedro and Joel Francisco (Petro de Luanda), Ivanádio Menezes, Mieze Francisco, José Kipanda, Joel Domingos, Joel Fernandes, Reginaldo Kanza and Fernando Kambuando (1º de Agosto), Moussa Kaba and Sílvio Manuel (ASA), Valter dos Santos (Progresso do Sambizanga) and Ngombo Rogério (Interclube).

The squad is coached by the Angolan Elvino Dias.

In the previous edition, Angola occupied the seventh position.
