Lubango – Angola’s national team players Tuesday in Lubango, southern Huila province, expressed optimism about beating Uganda on Saturday, in Kampala, in a group 10 first round match qualifying for the African Cup of Nations (CAN2012).
Speaking to Angop at the end of a morning training session at Ferrovia Stadium, watched by members of the local population, National team captain, Carlos Alonso “Kali”, said the group is getting familiar with the climatic conditions and altitudes similar to Kampala’s, in order to have a good performance.
On the other hand, team vice-captain, Mamona João “Lamá”, pledged “hard work” to keep his goal unbeaten during the qualifier.
According to Lama, the team has been working hard, aware of the adversities awaiting them in the opponent’s grounds.
