Luanda
OMA's official for increase of female leadership in sport

Luanda – The secretary-general of the ruling party’s women wing (OMA), Luzia Inglês, defended on Monday the need for increasing the female representation in decision- making organs of sports associations.

The official said so when she was delivering a speech in the homage ceremony paid to the ten-time African handball champions that took place in the national headquarters of the ruling MPLA party, in Luanda.

During her speech, the secretary-general of OMA recognised that the African champions, also being called “golden ladies”, once more dignified well the name of the country with commitment, dedication, teamwork spirit and solidarity.

Moreover, the official appealed to families and society in general to provide more support to sportswomen, because their conquests have brought pride to all Angolans.

Luzia Inglês also called for the members of the Angolan national team to continue firm, so as to end their respective careers with honour and patriotism.
