Luanda – Luanda MPLA Provincial Committee honours on Wednesday, here, the ten-time African Handball Champions, for conquering the title last February in Cairo city, Egypt.

The ceremony takes place at Cidadela Sports Complex, at 06pm.

For the African Championship conquest, the “golden girls” were honoured by the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, and first lady, Ana Paula do Santos, National Assembly, Luanda provincial governor, Social Communication minister, Luanda Porto administration, among other single as well as collective entities.

Angola got the following scores at the African handball championship which happened from 11 to 20 February of 2009: Angola-Egypt (32-21), DRC-Angola (24-15), Congo-Angola (25-25), Angola-Cameroon (30-17), Angola-Cote D'ivoire (27-24), Tunisia-Angola (30-31).
