Angola at Senegal Youth Olympic Games qualifiers

Luanda – The Angolan junior females handball team is playing from March 20-28, in Senegal, in the qualifiers for the Youth Olympic Games that will take place in Singapore in August 2010.


Angola will face the national teams of Nigeria, Congo Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo and Senegal.


The Angolan squad left on Thursday for Dakar,  with a delegation led by the technical director of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAA), Pina de Almeida.


Coach Alex Fernandes has summoned 14 players for  the competition.


Check the team players: Valdemira Van-Dunem, Esmeralda Samuconga, Isabel Eduardo, Luzia Matamba, Sara Luís, Ngalula Kanka, Jocelina Yanda, Jeovânia António, Suzete Cazanga, Albertina Mambrio, Ana Barros, Wilma Luceu, Antonica Roque and Iovânia Quinzole.


Angola are the African junior title holders.


The Singapore tournament will be the first edition of the Youth Olympic Games.
