African sport journalism seeks for world affirmation

Maputo – The director of the Agence France Presse (AFP) in Brasilia (Brazil), Aldo Gamboa, manifested his satisfaction at the knowledge level of African sport journalists that attended a course in Maputo, Mozambique.


The training was organised by the AFP foundation in the ambit of the Football World Cup and the project dubbed Win In Africa With Africa, sponsored by FIFA.
 

Speaking to ANGOP on Saturday in Maputo, where the training took place from 15 to 19 March with the participation of local and Angolan journalists, the director of APF said that the goal was achieved and he added that the African sport journalism is on the right track and it will reach other levels.
 

According to him, the initiative will continue with the second phase in April, adding that with the nucleus of professionals the programme work in the next phase on practical issues, games analysis and other details in the stadiums of Maputo.


AFP foundation, in partnership with FIFA, has been conducting directed workshops for the updating of know-how about international event coverage.
