Luanda – The Confederation of African Footballl (CAF) will meet on Wednesday in Accra (Ghana) to rule on the complaint lodged recently by Angola’s Recreativo do Libolo team, over irregular registration of two players of Rwandan APR club. Angop learnt the information from a reliable source on Monday.
According to a CAF note, signed by its secretary general, Mustapha Fahmy, and sent to Angolan Football Federation (FAF), the complaint against irregular registration of players number 19, Tchimanga Mutamba and Kasongo Kabiona (number 24) has not been undersigned by the captains of both teams as it should be.
Therefore, CAF made the first analysis of the case and highlights that in accordance with regulations of the African Champions League, it is important that both captains should be aware of the situation as it is a fraud.
In the protest forwarded to CAF, Recreativo do Libolo mentioned irregularities in the names and licences of the referred players who previously played for DR Congo teams.
