Luanda - The Angolans Joaquim Chamane and José Lourenço, will participate on March 21, in Lisbon (Portugal), in a 21-kilometre half marathon of athletics, a federation source announced. 

Angola's Athletics Federation (FAA) chairperson, Carlos Rosa, said the two athletes will leave for the venue on March 18, being that the competition is to be organised by the Maratona Clube de Lisboa.

At least 40,000 athletes will participate in this competition.

Joaquim Chamane was the best Angolan athlete of the national team, who stood third, this month, in the championship of the Southern Africa, in Seychelles.
