Ladies handball team off to Egypt

 

Luanda – The Angolan senior ladies handball team left this Tuesday morning for Egypt, where they will defend their continental title during the African Cup of Nations to happen from February 10 to 21.

 
The Angolan squad will face Egypt on Thursday for the first round of the competition.

 
Angola is part of group B alongside Egypt, DRC and the Republic of Congo.


The tournament will happen simultaneously with the males' competition, in which Angola is also part of the group B with Cameroon, Egypt and Gabon.


In the males' category, Angola will play their debut match against Cameroon and will try to improve the fourth position achieved in the last edition of the tournament, in 2007 in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
