Cabinda – The governor of northern Cabinda province, Mawete João Baptista, Saturday here promised his government’s support for the nucleus of sailing in the region.

The official said so at the end of the sailing tournament held at the local “Figueira” beach,  in the ambit of the celebrations of the 48th anniversary of Cabinda Port on Monday, February 8.Mawete João Baptista said it is important to help the sport: “9 year old children were seen here competing, it is already a promise that the future is secured”.

The governor promised to prepare the conditions for a sailing tournament to be held in the framework of the celebrations of the Cabinda city day, May 28.
