Luanda – At least 150 people have been selected in central Huambo province by the “National Spontaneous Movement” (MNE), to join the group of supporters of the national teams in the first phase of the African Cup of Nations (CAN2010) in Benguela province.
Speaking to Angop, MNE’s secretary in Huambo province, Fervando Ferreira Vicente, announced that this group of supporters will be comprised by sport officials, musicians, actors, former players, members of the government, entrepreneurs, students and journalists.
According to him, the aim is to take to Benguela province the feeling of joy from the people of Huambo province as the country is hosting that African sport event.
Accommodation, transportation and food have already be guaranteed for the 150 supporters, but the MNE is negotiating with the government of Huambo and local entrepreneurs to provide the same conditions to the members of the caravan of the fans, he said.
