Cabinda - The executive director of the Organising Committee of the African Cup of Nations (COCAN), António Mangueira, said on Friday that the head of the CAF inspection team, Mohamed Raouraoua, was pleased with the visit to Cabinda city.
The satisfaction was expressed during the visit to infrastructures of assistance to the CAN2010, having recognised that the works are occurring in an acceptable rhythm to hold the competition without hindrances.
António Mangueira made these declarations at the end of the visit paid by the delegation of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to the Chiazi stadium, to the Tafe and Chiazi support fields and to the Cabassango Olympic village.
COCAN executive director also said that the satisfaction emerges from the fact of having observed that the lawn that was implanted 10 weeks ago has already grown, and will be ready to be played on within a few months.
António Mangueira referred that the visit was different from the others, since the intention was to assess the conditions of stadiums, training fields and hotels.
He official equally stated that the Cabassango Olympic zone will now be called the "CAN2010" village.
Mohamed Raouraoua, who did not make any declarations to the press, has already returned to the country.
