Luanda – Petro de Luanda’s midfielder Job was distinguished last Tuesday as player of the year, 2009 season, by the Angolan “Rádio 5” sports station during the ninth gala in homage to the best sports people of each year held in Casa 70 venue, in Luanda.

Bernardino Pedroto and David were distinguished best coach and top scorer, respectively, while Petro de Luanda were awarded the prize of best team for having won the national first division football championship, also dubbed Girabola2009.

Benfica de Luanda got two distinctions, namely the best sport official, awarded to the club’s manager, Tchizé dos Santos, and the best new top division coach, awarded to Joaquim Muyumba.

Rádio 5, which counted on the partnership of Unitel mobile phone company in this project, distinguished with honourable mentions the deputy chairman of Benfica de Luanda, João Montez, and the chairman of  Kabuscorp do Palanca club, Bento Kangamba.

The coach of FC Bravos do Maquis, João Machado, was distinguished as the manager with the best football career.

The midfielder of Recreativo do Libolo Nandinho and Académica do Soyo were classed as having had an outstanding performance in terms of new players and teams, respectively.

Ângelo and Pedro dos Santos received the prize of best goal keeper and referee, respectively.

The gala was enlivened by various Angolan artists, such as Givago, Banda Movimento, Legalize, among others, as well as the comedians "Os Tunezas" and “Calado Show”.
