Luanda – Lack of accumulators capable of storing sufficient solar energy is on the basis of the non use of this type of energy in big scale in the country.
This has been affirmed in Luanda by the co-ordinator of the International Astronomy Year activities, Jaime Vilinga.
Delivering a lecture with the theme “The vision of man about the Universe, since old age to current times”, Jaime Vilinga said that the big challenge for these types of energies is based on storing, since its production is easy, therefore, once the ways of storage is improved, the country will try this practice that still needs studies on Angolan reality.
According to the astrophysics, since observation of two total eclipses of the sun that raised people’s interest in observing and studying the skies in the country, since the advantages of positioning and altitude of the sun that shines almost throughout the year, might help the scientists in studying them, which does not happen for example in countries of the northern hemisphere.
