Luanda - The Angolan satellite telecommunications system INFRASAT intends to expand the rural "Liga-Liga" telephony services in the first half of 2012.
The move will mark the reactivation up to 600 antennas or telecentres, said Thursday in Luanda the director executive of the institution, António Rocha.
Speaking to Angop, while assessing the implementation of the institutions projects, the officials also said that under expansion of rural telephony service, the company will install telecentres in various public institutions, especially in schools, prisons, according to the requests.
According to Antonio Rocha, another challenge to be overcome in 2012, is related to the recovery of telecentres that were vandalized during the period of their stoppage in several provinces.
To this purpose, the INFRASAT will need an additional fund worth USD 2 million in order to allow the recovery of all telecentres.
