Minister calls on students to register for elections

Benguela - Angola's minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Maria Cândida Teixeira, has called on members of the academic community to adhere to the second phase of the electoral registration, ANGOP has learnt.

 

Speaking at the consultative council of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, the minister acknowledged that importance of the academic community in the adherence to  the process to guarantee updating of the electoral data.

 

In her opinion, the accomplishment of this civic right is an act of citizenship that contributes to the consolidation of Angola’s multiparty democracy in Angola.

 

Commenting on the meeting, the minister called on the participants to share ideas and wisdom, by playing a role that makes the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology move with security, in a route outlined by the government.
